UYO

A youth activist, Mr Ekemini Ukim, has joined the race for the Uyo Federal Constituency seat in 2023, assuring that he will win the election

Ukim, who breezed into our newsroom recently confirmed hisintention to represent the people of his constituency at the national assembly

He said the experience he has garnered in the past has prepared him and make him qualified for the job.

According to him, “I have been a parliamentarian and as an activist, I understand what it means to be a legislature, and I understand legislative duties having understudied how other political office operates”

Ukim, who said he is not afraid of the numerous contenders for the federal house of assembly job, posited, “I stand a better chance to win the election than them”

The aspirant noted that it was time to give fresh hands a chance to serve the people rather than recycling the old politicians who have been in the scene for too long.

Giving chance to young politicians who are full of fresh ideas, he said, will change the narrative and further improve the level of governance.

He stressed that it was time for the younger generation to take over power and quipped, “I strongly believe that our generation today have come to realize that people are getting deep into our time, so we need to take over power from them.”

“My supporters have strong confidence in my ability to deliver being young and energetic young aspirant,” he said.
