The Lagos chapter of Maintain Peace Movement (MPM) has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, on his resounding victory in the recent PDP governorship primaries.
The chapter in a goodwill message jointly signed by the coordinator and general secretary, Otuekong Ubong Jackson and Mr. Kingsley Mbre, described Pastor Umo Eno as a God-fearing, humble, intelligent and focused man who by this victory confirmed that he is the people’s choice and the most competent, trusted and reliable person to continue from where the indefatigable promise keeper governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel will stop in 2023.
According to the message, “We in the Lagos chapter of Maintain Peace Movement (MPM) congratulate our principal, Pastor Umo Eno, on his resounding victory in the recent PDP governorship primaries.
“His emergence as PDP guber candidate in Akwa Ibom State attest to his inestimable integrity, humility, hardwork, discipline and commitment to the development of the party and the state at large.
“We are excited because his victory signifies a new era of sustainable development and continuity in good governance”.
The Lagos chapter of the organization commended the leadership of the party in the state for ensuring the success of the primary election and for effectively mobilizing delegates to peacefully participate in the electoral process, describing the outcome of the election as a victory for the Akwa Ibom PDP family, which demonstrated the capacity to work together for the good of the party and the state as a whole.
The chapter urged Akwa Ibom people who are eligible voters and party members to be ready to vote for Pastor Umo Eno and PDP during the election proper next year.
