I Have Experience To Represent Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District – Ekon

The candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District on the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Mr EmmanuelEkon, has assured the people of his area that he has the needed experience to represent the senatorial district in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.

Ekon gave the assurance at the weekend when women of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District paid him a solidarity visit declaring their total support to him to run for the Senate seat of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in the fast approaching 2023 general elections.

Ekon while addressing the women who also threw their support behind the Young Progressives Party governorship candidate in Akwa lbom State, Obong Bassey Albert, thanked the women for declaring their support to him and the YPP governorship candidate describing their decision as the best for the interest of the senatorial district and the state as a whole.

He said his ambition was not based on personal interest nor self- enrichment, but for the overall interest of the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District. He continued that he is aspiring for the Senate seat to enable him consolidate on his laid down legacies he initiated since when he was in the National Assembly.

Ekon, who is   a former member of House of Representatives, who represented Abak/ Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, and chairman, House Committee on Local Content, told the women that during his tenure as National Assembly member, he was able to use his office as effective mechanism to attract Federal Government present through projects and employments. He remarked that he was able to touch lives of so many people in the senatorial district through his humanitarian services platform devoid of nepotism which today, speaks volume to his ambition. 

The Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District candidate hopeful  who also intimated the women of a good number of students under his scholarship scheme and sponsored by him which is ongoing, promised more humanitarian services, human capital development, skills acquisition programmes, financial support for small and medium scale businesses, more scholarships and life-touching projects when voted into power.

The YPP candidate while charging the women to register and get their voters card to enable them vote candidates of their choice, assured them that he is going to be the next senator of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District come 2023.
