Gov. Udom Emmanuel has relieved his chief of staff, COS, from the duties of the state with effect from Tuesday 22, 2022.
Emmanuel conveyed the message to Mr. Ephraim Inyangeyen in a release signed by the secretary to the government (SSG), Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, from Government House, Uyo, Tuesday.
The governor stated that relieving Inyangeyen of the duties was based on urgent needs to match skill set and competences to the task of maintaining the momentum of economic development in peace, adding that the services of the former COS were no longer required.
Emmanuel directed Inyangeyen to handover all property of the government in his possession to the SSG, while accepting the assurances, goodwill and highest regards while proceeding on other endeavours.
The state chief executive officer said that his administration was with profound appreciation of the worthy contributions made by Inyangeyen to the development of Akwa Ibom in his position of COS.
The Pioneer recalled that Inyangeyen, prior to being appointed as COS to the governor, had earlier served as member of the state executive council as the commissioner for works.
