In a motion moved and seconded by the Public Relations Officer, NANS, ZONE B, Comrade Utibe Ekanem, and the Student Union Government President, University of Uyo, Comrade Wisdom Emmanuel respectively, they resolved to adopt Pastor Umo Eno and to mobilize student structures to ensure victory in the 2023 governorship election.

In their separate remarks, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters, Comrade Akwaowo Clifford, PRO NANS Zone B, Comrade Utibe Ekanem, SUG President of University of Uyo, Comrade Wisdom Emmanuel, President, Law Students Association of Nigeria, LAWSAN, University of Uyo, Comrade Saviour Jacob, Comrade Idongesit Micah, Former President, Akwa Ibom Female Students, and others, they expressed satisfaction with the aspiration of Pastor Umo Eno describing him as their golden candidate.

The students passed a vote of confidence on the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel especially for the choice of Pastor Eno as his preferred successor.

To make good their resolution, the students also inaugurated an executive council of Akwa Ibom Students Network for Umo Eno 2023 to sensitize and mobilize the student for all round victory at the elections.

Responding, the frontline aspirant, Pastor Eno commended the Students for the show of love and support and assured them of his determination to maintain peace and further development in Akwa Ibom State.

Pastor Eno stated that it was the first time he has seen the entire students community coming together to support one aspirant for a governorship position and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him.

In his words, “my decision to aspire for the 2023 governorship election is emboldened by this particular endorsement. By the grace of God, we will further the development stride of our Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel.”

He commended the leadership of the students community and especially their patron, Prof Eno Ibanga for guiding the students in the right path.
