The Akwa Ibom commissioner for information and strategy has restated Gov Udom Emmanuel’s commitment to his administration’s completion agenda.

Comrade Ini Ememobong, who stated this at a press conference in Uyo, Monday, reassured the people that all ongoing projects by Emmanuel’s administration will be completed before the end of his tenure on May 29, 2023.

The commissioner insisted that the governor has not derailed from his campaign promises and manifestoes as his administration is working hard to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

He called on the people to continue to support the governor’s completion agenda, adding that the governor was focused anddetermined to deliver on his promises to the people.

“Very soon the state will become project commissioning siteas work on project sites are in advanced stages,” he assured.

Ememobong noted that the unveiling of the governor’s preferred successor was part of the completion agenda of the Udom Emmanuel administration, stressing that the governor, like every other citizen, has the right to support whoever he wants as his successor.

Putting the record straight on the governor’s pronouncement of Pastor Umo Eno as his preferred aspirant, the commissioner stated the governor is only a medium God hasused to reveal his successor.

He noted that naming his preferred aspirant by the governor does not exclude other intending aspirants from aspiring and also expressing their intention to contest for the party’s ticket.

The government spokesman stated further that the governor has no intention to impose his choice to the party and the people of the state but was only exercising his right to make a choice.

Ememobong noted that the governor was still open to consultations by other gubernatorial aspirants and also wishing them well.
