The commissioner for information and strategy has condoled with a staff in the Ministry, Mr. Moses Umanah, over the untimely death of his father and mother.
Comrade Ememobong presented the condolence, Saturday, during the funeral service of both parents of the staff, Elder and Deaconess Sunday Umanah at Afaha Offiong, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.
At the funeral service organised by the Mount of Sinai Evangelical Ministry, Afaha Offiong, the state information helmsman said losing a parent is heartbreaking, but losing both parents at the same time is seriously very devastating and prayed God to grant Moses Umanah and indeed the entire bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Represented by the director of information, Mrs. Blessing Urua, the commissioner, on behalf of the entire management and staff of the Ministry, expressed sympathy over the sad event and prayed that the good Lord will grant the souls of Elder and Deaconess Sunday Umanah eternal repose in His bosom.
In his homily taken from the Book of Romans 7:19-25, the general overseer, The Mount of Sinai Evangelical Ministry, Afaha Offiong, Rev. Owokoffi Akpabio, admonished Christians to re-assess themselves on their standing with God to enjoy eternal life after sojourn on earth.
He reminded all that our actions will surely account for where we go after our lives on earth, and stressed the need to embrace good Godly life style in our homes, workplaces, churches and indeed the larger society to have everlasting life after death.
In his remarks, the host, Mr. Moses Umanah, on behalf of the family, expressed bitterness over the sad situation confronting the family, saying it was an incident they least expected at the moment.
He appreciated the commissioner, the entire Ministry of Information and Strategy, friends and well-wishers for their unfathomable support during the gloomy moment.
The occasion was graced by staff of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, the Ministry of Agriculture and various groups among others.
