…says petition lacks merit
The Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Uyo this morning dismissed the petition brought by New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) 2023 Governorship candidate, Senator John James AkpanUdoedehe, challenging the election of Pastor Umo Eno.
Umo Eno who was the governorship candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), was declared elected by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and subsequently sworn in on the 29th of May, 2023.
The tribunal struck out Udoedehe’s petition on grounds of lacking in merit.
