The Akwa Ibom State Executive Council has approved the draft estimate of the 2023 Appropriation bill.
Gov Udom Emmanuel gave the approval during an expanded executive council meeting at Government House, Uyo, Monday.
Emmanuel, who spoke through the commissioner for finance, Mr. Linus Nkan, said that the approval was given after an extensive deliberation by members of the State Executive Council, following the presentation of the draft estimate by the Ministry of Finance.
He said that the process of arriving at the final figure of the estimate was ongoing, adding that as soon as it is done the draft estimate would be forwarded to the State House of Assembly for further ratification within the week.
Emmanuel hinted that the estimate would accommodate the needs of the state within the purview of the Completion Agenda of the administration.
