A’Ibom Guber 2023: Peace Advocacy Group Hails Gov Emmanuel Over Choice Of Umo Eno As Successor

Ahead of the Akwa Ibom Governorship election, a socio-political organisation with membership strength spread across the 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom, Peace Advocacy Group (PAG), has expressed gratitude to Governor Udom Emmanuel on his choice of Pastor Umo Eno as the preferred aspirant to succeed him in office come 2023.

This was contained in a statement endorsed by the international coordinator of the Peace Advocacy Group, Engr. Aniekan James Unah, on behalf of the group and made available to newsmen.

 According to the statement, the governor’s choice represents a clear recognition of both the obvious capacity of Pastor Umo Eno in sustaining the peace, cordial coexistence, progress, unity, good governance and success of our dear Akwa Ibom, which is the hallmark of the Udom Emmanuel administration.

 The group, in their statement, said they believed that the choice of Pastor Umo Eno was in line with the wishes of God and the people of Akwa Ibom, who are in dire need of agovernor with a peace agenda and also represent an era of entrepreneurial transformation.

 According to the statement, Umo Eno is the current commissioner for lands and water resources in Akwa Ibom; the chief executive officer of Royalty Hotels and a successful entrepreneur, who has employed Akwa Ibom youths and lifted thousands out of poverty.

 “This represents a clear recognition of the obvious capacity of our brother and son to perform in this huge role, and a strong indication of an acknowledgment of the critical place of God in the affairs of men. He will be coming to the office of Governor with an economic blueprint that will further guarantee employment, development, industrialisation and economic prosperity for our people.

 “We believe that the choice of Pastor Umo Eno is in line with the wishes of God and the people. It also represents the beginning of a new era of entrepreneurial transformation. 

 “He is a man of peace and will ensure that the peace and security of life we have enjoyed in the last seven years will be maintained,” he said.

The group, however, described Pastor Umo Eno as an asset to Akwa Ibom, a man of exceptional capacity of peace and humility, peace for all ambassador and enjoined all peace-loving and progress-minded Akwa Ibomites to rally round and support God’s best choice, Pastor Umo Eno, to Akwa Ibom people come 2023.
