2023 Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial hopeful and immediate past PDP National Legal Adviser, Hon Barr Emmanuel Enoidem, has urged PDP delegates from Ukanafun/Oruk Anam and Abak Etim Ekpo Ika Federal Constituencies, not to be distracted or deceived but remain steadfast and stand with Governor Udom Emmanuel achieve his Completion Agenda for industrail consolidation and peace sustainability in the State.
Barr Enoidem stated this on Monday during a Consultation Visit to delegates of the two federal constituencies by his campaign team ahead of the May 2022 PDP primaries.
Addressing delegates from Abak Etim Ekpo Ika Federal Constituency in Abak, Barr Enoidem who doubles as the National Chairman, Maintain Peace Movement, MPM, urged the delegates to be vigilant and steadfast, assuring that the Governor remains committed to improving the welfare and wellbeing of the delegates.
“We are on the verge of breaking the jinx. We are on the verge of history. My Senate aspiration is for the general good. I will offer quality and people centered representation. I won’t be a novice in lawmaking”.
“The Governor stood by all of you to become the custodians of the party at the ward and Chapter level. Through his benevolence, you are where you are today as PDP delegates. It is now your turn to support the Governor realize his Completion Agenda so as to secure the future of the State”, he stated.
He urged the delegates to also adopt and support Hon Aniekan Umanah to return for a second term as member representing Abak Etim Ekpo Ika Federal Constituency in 2023, and extend same goodwill to Abak State Constituency by returning Hon Udeme Otong and Hon Mfon Idung of Etim Ekpo Ika State Constituency for a second term.
Also speaking, member representing Abak Etim Ekpo Ika Federal Constituency, Hon Aniekan Umanah, urged the delegates to remain loyal to the Governor and justify the confidence he has in them, the same way he supported their emergence as party officers at the Ward and Chapter levels.
“The Governor made all of you delegates. Now is the time for you all to reciprocate his kind gesture towards you by supporting Umo Eno to emerge as Governor in 2023”, he admonished.
Addressing the PDP delegates in Ukanafun/Oruk Anam federal Constituency, Barr Enoidem noted that by virtue of being neighbors, he is confident of the love, support and solidarity of the delegates, assuring that with an equally competent, dynamic and erudite House of Representatives member such as Hon Unyine Idem, they both will collaborate and ensure the constituency benefit from an impactful legislative representation never ever experienced in their history.
Responding, the Oruk Anam PDP Chapter Chairman, Hon Nsikak Peter, assured Barr Enoidem of the total support and solidarity of the delegates come 2023 and solicited for strategic partnership towards exploring the gas reserve in Oruk Anam LGA towards enhancing job creation and poverty eradication in the area.
