The state commissioner for transport, Chief Uno Etim Uno, has justified the delegate’s congress as free, fair and transparent.
Uno made the justification in his hometown in Oruefong Orukowhile fielding questions from journalists.
Uno who monitored the exercise across his constituency, described it as the most transparent, fair and credible.
He said the exercise was a test of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) capacity at delivering a fair, smooth and free elections as expected by Akwa lbom people.
Chief Uno Uno further explained that the way and manner the delegates congress was conducted, had shown and proven the level of maturity from both Akwa lbom people and the delegates through self-control and conduct during the exercise.
He said such was indication that a free and fair elections devoid rigging was guaranteed in the upcoming general elections in the state.
The commissioner said that with the atmosphere of the delegates congress, Akwa lbom people have become expectants of a credible elections where the governor will emerge at popular vote.
He disclosed that due processes were followed according to the electoral act law during the exercise, called on Akwa lbom people to see the just-concluded delegates congress as a clear window of what is expected during elections at any level in the state as obtainable in develop countries.
Uno while thanking Akwa lbom people and delegates for conducting themselves in a mature manner during the exercise, also thanked the Independent National Electoral Commission for being strict on the electoral act law.
