The political leader of Ini local government area, ObongBassey Inuaeyen has described Pastor Umo Eno’s endorsement and adoption by Governor Udom Emmanuel and Akwa Ibom stakeholders as divine and irreplaceable.
The respected politician who stated this while playing host to Pastor Umo Eno’s campaign team at his Ewet Housing residence revealed that Governor Udom Emmanuel had indeed consulted God and many relevant stakeholders in the state before settling for Pastor Umo Eno as his preferred successor.
While absolving the governor of any form of imposition by endorsing the seasoned businessman and current commissioner of lands and water resources, the political leader said Governor Emmanuel was simply exercising his fundamental human rights and has done nothing wrong.
The former House of Representatives member said he had no reservation endorsing and adopting Pastor Umo Eno as his preferred candidate as he can vouch for the commissioner’s capacity to transform Akwa Ibom State and sustain peace and prosperity in the state.
The elder statesman commended Governor Udom for the peace and security enjoyed in the state, expressing optimism that Pastor Eno would advance peace, create jobs and take the state to greater heights.
He called on those whom he described as “dreamers” to wake up to the reality of the fact that Pastor Eno will be the next governor of Akwa Ibom State after Mr Udom Emmanuel in 2023.
In his words: “Pastor Umo Eno’s endorsement by the governor is divine. It is unchangeable and irreplaceable.”
The PDP stalwart maintained that he knows Pastor Eno and his capacity to transform Akwa Ibom, describing him as a man of rare humility, capacity and integrity.
In his speech the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial hopeful expressed gratitude to Obong Bassey Inuaeyen for endorsing and adopting him as his preferred candidate for the forthcoming governorship race in the state.
He reiterated that his mission is to create wealth for Akwa Ibom through tourism, agriculture and entrepreneurial development.
In their separate remarks, the Ini local government chairman, Mr Israel Idaisin, commissioner for agriculture, Dr Glory Edet, and member representing Ini state constituency in the state house of assembly, Mr Emmanuel Ekpenyong thanked God for the choice of Pastor Umo Eno as Governor Emmanuel’s successor, and described him as a quality, credible and wonderful product.
While assuring that all PDP delegates in Ini are unanimous in their support for Umo Eno to emerge as the party’s standard bearer in the forth coming PDP gubernatorial primary, they maintained that the people are also ready to give bloc votes at the 2023 governorship election.
Earlier, the director general of campaigns, Amb Assam Assam, SAN said the visit was a mark of honour to the political leader whom he described as a man of honour.
While soliciting support for the aspirant, the former Ambassador to Russia noted that Pastor Eno is a man revealed to Akwa Ibom to continue from where Governor Udom Emmanuel will stop in 2023 and also sustain the peace in the state.
On his part, the International Coordinator of the Maintain Peace Movement (MPM), Mr Emmanuel Enoidem, lauded ObongInuaeyen for his political consistency which according to him, has distinguished him among equals, and appealed to him to bless and adopt Pastor Eno for the overall good of Akwa Ibom State.
