A call has been made for all stakeholders to prioritize investment, eliminate barriers to women’s leadership and also create an enabling environment for women to excel and contribute meaningfully to society.
This was the position of participants at the just-concluded women leaders dialogue held at the UN Headquarters, New York which was organized by the African Women Leadership Organisation (AWLO).
The thought provoking event which centered around the theme: Investing in Women, Closing the Representation Gap, featured discussions and interactive sessions which saw participants delve into key topics such as women’s economic empowerment, leadership development and the role of mentorship and networking in advancing women’s carriers.
Apart from providing a platform for speakers to share their experiences, expertise and visionary insights on how to create opportunities for women to thrive and succeed in diverse fields, the event also provided a valuable networking platform for the participants to connect, collaborate and build meaningful relationship with like-minded individuals and organizations that are committed to promoting gender equality and women empowerment.
