….As Comrade Ememobong Sets New Standard For Staff Training

No fewer than seven staff of the State Ministry of Information and Strategy have completed overseas training in Dubai, as Comrade Ini Ememobong, the state information commissioner,is evolving new standard in capacity building and manpower development for government employees in the Ministry.
The training which is in fulfilment of one the cardinal visions for the manpower building and development of the Udom Emmanuel administration’s Completion Agenda geared at sharpening the skillsets of the employees to aid them in telling the Completion Agenda story effectively.
To this end, seven staff drawn from the different directorates and arms of the State Ministry of Information and Strategy weresponsored for strategic proficiency training in diverse areas of Communications branding and allied areas.
The training which spans several phases with more beneficiaries, has the following staff under the first phase: TiubaNduonofit, director, Administration and Supplies, trained on Leadership, Management and Communication Skills; EdetAsuquo Nsungwara, director, Archives, trained on Leadership, Management and Communication Skill; Inyene Lawrence Ekong, information officer, trained on Leadership, Management and Communication Skill as well as Jameson Inyang Inyang, the immediate past permanent secretary also trained on Leadership, Management and Communication Skills.
Others include: Stella Joseph, the ministry’s accountant, trained on VAT, Peter Etim Antai, the head of Planning, Research and Statistics, trained on Statistics and Inventory, Edidiong George, a graphic designer, trained on Graphic Design and Grace Etim, a confidential secretary, trained on Sage 50.
The beneficiaries who said the new skill sets acquired from the training will help them discharge their official responsibilities more effectively in line with emerging global best practices, maintained that, with the overseas training, the commissioner for information and strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong has set a new standard for staff training in the Ministry.
