Christians have been admonished to serve God in spirit and truth in order to attract his blessings.

A governorship aspirant in the state, Apostle Aniekan AkanEtim, who gave this admonition recently at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Four Town Parish, 41 Silas Udo Street, Uyo, during the 2022 church annual convention/fund launch for the Presbytery Retreat Centre, noted that God has blessed Akwa Ibom State with abundant resources and these resources need to be harnassed and proper manage to the benefit of the state and the citizenry.

Apostle Etim maintained that it will take truth and excellent spirit for citizens to be able to attract these given blessings of God, adding that a God-fearing and resilient leader will make the state an enviable destination.

He encouraged Christians to be involved in active politics to be able to choose leaders that have the interest of the state and the citizenry at heart, declaring that he is aspiring as the governor of Akwa Ibom State come 2023, promising that if given an opportunity, he will make a difference by ensure that promises made by the founding fathers of the state are fulfilled while he donated richly towards the uplift of God’s work.

Apostle Etim, an astute economist, pledged that he will not let the people down if given the opportunity to serve, saying he is very conversant with the problems and challenges of Akwa Ibom and would tackle such squarely to the benefit of the people.

Responding, the church leadership thanked the governorship hopeful for recognising God and putting him first in his scheme of things, urging him to continue to acknowledge God in all his ways as he will direct his path.

Similarly, the governorship hopeful also worshipped at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Ema Itam, East Itam Northern Parish, Itu Local Government Area where he celebrates with the church as they mark the 2022 Gospel Convention.

The apostle used the church service to call on christians to pray for peace in the state especially during the electioneering campaigns, he particularly called on them to pray for Itu as a local government for God to bring a leader that will remember them as they have not witness serious development in the past four decades.

The church appreciated him for finding time to worship and identify with them, praying that for honouring them God will surely grant his endeavours while commending his down to earth humility and zeal towards the work of God.
