Speaker of the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly, Mr Aniekan Bassey, has appealed to stakeholders of Central Uruan in Uruan Local Government Area to support and ensure victory for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections.
Bassey, who is the 2023 PDP candidate for the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, made the appeal on Friday during a consultation visit to the people of Central Uruan at the Akwa Savings Metropolitan Estate residence of the zonal leader of Central Uruan, MrJ.B. Effiong.
The speaker was received by a mammoth crowd comprising the clan head of Central Uruan, Edidem Anthony Ekpe; the secretary of Uruan Local Government Council, Mr Inyang Ekpe; the ward leader of Central Uruan Ward-1, Torobong Mbang; ward leader, Central Uruan Ward-2; Mr Desmond Etim; ward leader of Central Uruan Ward 3; Mr Emmanuel Atakpo, acting ward leader of Central Uruan Ward 4, and Councillors from Central 1,2,3 and 4.
Others included senior assistant to governor on projects monitoring, Mr Judge Effiong, former special assistant to the governor, Mr Emmanuel Nicolas, village heads, Ward Chairmen, supervisors among others.
