The political leader of Esit Eket Local Government Area, Elder Benjamin Udobia, and other stakeholders have described frontline gubernatorial aspirant, Pastor Umo Eno as a trustworthy leader who will work in the interest of the Akwa Ibom people.
Speaking during a visit by a consultation team to his residence in Esit Eket on Wednesday, Elder Udobia re-echoed his support to Pastor Eno, saying it was only a repeat of an action he and Esit Eket people had earlier carried out in his absence last weekend.
Joining the waves of other endorsements , Elder Udobia thanked the aspirant and his team for finding time to consult stakeholders of the area.
“During the launch of MPM in Esit Eket Local Government Area, I had vowed to Governor Udom Emmanuel that anywhere he goes, I will follow. He is a good man who rewards people’s work. Thank God he has chosen Pastor Umo Eno, a man I can trust. A man who will not forget his people when he becomes Governor,” Elder Udobia stated.
Earlier, Pastor Eno had said that Elder Udobia who he recalled had always stood by him in the past, would do same even as he furthers his Governorship aspiration.
Pastor Eno said “I am not here as a stranger but as a son. Our father Elder Udobia, has always stood by me. This time won’t be different. History has it that anyone he stands with always succeeds.”
Also speaking, Executive Chairman of Esit Eket LGA, Mr. Iniobong Robson said that Elder Udobia has the most reliable political structure in the area, noting that the statesman’s support for Pastor Eno is weighty and is certainly bound to lead to victory.
Robson who is also the ALGON boss disclosed that before the consultation visit, Elder Udobia had already assembled his numerous political loyalists and tasked them to support Pastor Eno’s Governorship bid and they have all wholeheartedly endorsed his candidacy.
Others who spoke at the event included, Director General of Campaigns, Chief Assam Assam, SAN, Coordinator of MPM and Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Monday Ebong Uko, member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Usoro Akpanuso and Hon. Bassey Dan Abia, the chairman of Governing Council of Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit.
