Nsikak Moses scored in the 45th minute to gift Ibom Youths FC a 1-0 win over rivals Vandrezzer Fc in a Nigerian National League (NNL) Matchday 15 clash .

In front of a capacity crowd, Saturday at the Ikot Ekpene township stadium the highest since the start of the 2021/2022 season, Ibom Youths FC defeated Vandrezzer FC in the second meeting between the two sides this term.

The first leg finished 1-1 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos.

Vandrezzer FC should have taken the lead in the 1st minute but Midfielder Saviour Isaac dragged his effort wide of the post.

Ibom Youths FC responded at the other end in the 7th minute when Victor Ifiok stung the palms of the Vandrezzer goalkeeper with a powerful free kick from 30 yards.

In the 8th minute Vandrezzer FC midfielder maestro, SaviourIsaac found himself in a promising position to score but blazed his effort over the crossbar.

An audacious back flip effort by Ibom Youths FC defender Wisdom Ndon failed to trouble the Vandrezzer FC goal in the 10th minute.

Saviour Isaac and Gideon Monday missed further chances to put the visitors in front before the homers finally dealt them the blow.

Nsikak Moses was at the end of a delightful back heel assist by Wisdom Ndon.

The winger took one touch before firing into the bottom left corner in the 45th minute.

Ibom Youths FC led 1-0 at the break.

Chances were scarce in the second half with both sets of defenders effectively repelling each others attack.

The best opportunity of the half fell to Vandrezzer FC’s Gideon Monday but his shot from inside the penalty area was blocked by Ibom Youths FC defender Joseph James.

With time ticking away Coaches Emmanuel Ntuk and Henry Makinwa rang the changes for different reasons.

Emmanuel Ntuk sent on more Midfielders to keep possession and limit the attempts by the visitors, while the Vandrezzer FC forwards pressed for an equalizer.

At the end of regulation time, two minutes was added on for stoppages after which the referee signalled for the end of the match.

This was the first win in the second stanza of the season for Ibom Youths Fc to end Vandrezzer FC’s three game winning streak.

The result means both sides are now level on 23 points from 15 matches in Group B1.

While Vandrezzer are in third position, Ibom Youth trail behind on fourth in the league.
