A socio-political group in the state, Movement for Imminent Growth (MIG)- Umo Eno 2023, has inaugurated Uyo Federal Constituency chapters and ward coordinators of the group with a charge on them to mobilize support at the grassroots for Pastor Umo Eno ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The event which took place recently in Uyo, had chapter coordinators from Ibesikpo Asutan, Nsit Atai, Uyo and UruanLocal Government Areas and ward coordinators inaugurated.
Inaugurating the coordinators, the board of trustees chairman, Pastor Samuel Inyang, urged them to go back to their units and canvas votes for Pastor Umo Eno and ensure they deliver their units in the forthcoming governorship election.
Inyang appealed to them to mobilize those at the grassroots who were yet to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to do so and be politically equipped to vote for their principal.
The BoT chairman who noted that the purpose of the group was to mobilize support and ensure the success of Pastor Eno at the gubernatorial election, charged those inaugurated to be sincere in carrying out their duties so as to produce positive results.
While calling on all to join in supporting the candidacy of Eno, Inyang said everyone stands the chance to benefit when their principal wins the election come 2023.
He reminded them of the need to penetrate every nook and cranny of the state to canvas for votes and ensure they have full control of their units so that they will be able to deliver Pastor Eno.
Pastor Inyang who described the PDP guber candidate as a detribalised and and seasoned entrepreneur with unparalleled capacity and character, maintained that he is well disposed to further the peace, security and general development stride of the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration.
Also speaking, the national coordinator of MIG, Mr Ezekiel Ibanga, congratulated the coordinators on their inauguration and thanked them for accepting to support their principal.
Ibanga urged them to deliver on the responsibility given to them by ensuring the target of delivering Eno come 2023 is achieved.
He said the aim of the group was to chart a new political course that will engender growth, adding that they were convinced to work for the success of their Pastor Eno because of his competence and ability to provide effective leadership for the state.
The national coordinator said with the inauguration of UyoFederal Constituency chapters, the group now have a formidable structure across the state to work for the emergence of their principal.
He used the occasion to announce the upcoming media chat with their principal, tagged Umo Eno to the World, which he said will be a big event that will showcase Eno to the world.
Ibanga called on Akwa Ibom people to vote for Pastor UmoEno, saying he is the best man for the job come 2023.
The chapter coordinators inaugurated include: Mr IdonenyinEffiong Essien for Ibesikpo; Emmanuel Akpan, Nsit Atai; Daniel White, Uyo, and Williams Udo, Uruan.
It would be recalled that the group had earlier inaugurated chapters and ward coordinators in the other nine federal constituencies, and Uyo was the grand finale.
Present at the inauguration were: Jimmy Nse, deputy coordinator; Mr Monday Williams, secretary; Nsini Inwang, woman leader; Ima-Obong Koffi, deputy woman leader; Kingsley Asuqwuo, youth leader; Pastor Ukeme Akpabio, PRO; Umoh Ekanem, provost 2; Ekpo Gabriel, welfare; Isaac Uki, chief of staff to the national coordinator and director of media, Wisdom Benson.
