In keeping with the tradition of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, the commissioner, Comrade Ini Ememobong, in his characteristic style, led the permanent secretary, Akparawa James Edet and management staff to celebrate the head of Planning Research and Statistics (PRS) in the Ministry, Mr Peter Antai, on his birth anniversary.

The celebration, which took place at Antai’s office, began with songs of praise and worship to God, after which thecommissioner showered birthday songs on the celebrator.

Ememobong, on behalf of the permanent secretary and directors in the ministry, also poured birthday wishes on Antai, as he adds another year to his life.

The permanent secretary, who anchored his speech on the promises of God to His children as recorded in Numbers 29:1, thanked God for the life of the celebrator, and prayed that he would rise above his enemies in this his new year.

Edet, who said Antai was a good and diligent staff, expressed the belief that God would always raise men to support him on his life journey and in all his official endeavours.

The director of public relations, Mrs Grace Akpan, while setting the tone for the event, had wished the celebrator the very best and prayed God to bless him, and add many more happy years to his life.

The climax of the event was a toast in honour of the celebrator as proposed by the legal officer, Edo Eshiet Esq.,

Other directors who attended the event were the director of information, Mrs Blessing Urua; director of strategy, Mr Aniekan Ukpong; director of accounts, Mrs Stella Akpan-Ekwere; director of archives, Mrs Eunice Egharevba and the government printer, Mr Nsikak Nkanga.
