The Akwa Ibom commissioner for information and strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, alongside the permanent secretary, Akparawa James Edet, directors and staff of the Ministry at the weekend identified with the director of Public Relations, Mrs Grace Akpan as she gave out her daughter, Dr. Emily-Queen Monday Akpan to Dr. Etifiok Oliver Nkop in a Cinderella wedding.

The solemnization ceremony, which took place Saturday at Qua Iboe Church, Nigeria, 2 Olusegun Obasanjo Way, Uyo, was officiated by Rev. Eteto Sambo in the presence of eminent personalities including politicians, members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm and captains of industry.

The officiating minister admonished the new couple to make God the centre of their union as well as make proportionate effort to complement each other through their areas of strength in order to sustain their marriage.

The event, which featured the exchange of marital vows, had as its highpoint the signing of the marriage register by the couple, after which guests and well wishers were treated to a sumptuous reception at the Civil Service Auditorium at Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat Complex, Uyo.

Meanwhile, the country home of Mrs Grace Akpan, Eka Nto Obo village in Abak Local Government Area, came alive last Thursday when the couple held their traditional marriage ceremony at Kings International School grounds as part of the requirements for the fulfillment of marital rites, according to the customs and tradition of the area.
