Entrepreneurs in Akwa Ibom have been assured that the state government was unwavering in its commitment to sustain supports for micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) in the state.
The senior special assistant to Gov Udom Emmanuel on marketing and brand management, Mr Ime Uwah, made the pledge recently during an unscheduled visit to one of the leading indigenous household products manufacturing outfits -The Challenge Vision Generation Nigeria Limited at Nkwot Ikono in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area.

He hinted that a new edition of the MEGP training was in the works, urging entrepreneurs to visit www.megp.com.ng to register.
The managing director of the facility, Mr Church Monday, conducted the governor’s aide and his team round the factory, explaining the different sections and their functions.
Monday, himself, an MEGP alumnus and past winner of the MEGP pitch deck, said the MEGP trainings equiped him with knowledge and understanding of basic business principles and strategies such as book keeping, business plan, targeting market, as well as exposure to grants which has helped him purchased necessary machines and equipment that facilitate mass production.
