The name has been fondly attached to Governor Emmanuel due to the humongous achievements recorded by the Governor in the sector.
Comrade Ini Ememobong, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, disclosed this recently, while appearing on a Live interview programme on AriseNews.
The State Information helsman who x-rayed the industrialisation- drive of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the state, intimated that, the sec- tor has remained in the front bunner of the present administration, which started-off in 2015 with a Five-point
Agenda to the second term Comple- tion Agenda.
He said with his focus on industrialization, Governor Udom Emmanuel had to open gateways into the state by land, water and air for easy access by investors adding that by air, the Governor invested in “Ibomair”, which is making waves in the skies, took up the Ibom Deep Sea Port, IDSP project and by land, undertook the construction of eco- nomically viable roads.
These gateways, the commis- sioner said, has aided in attracting Foreign Direct investments, FDI, to the State, with the attendant emer- gence of such investments like: the electric metering factory, the auto- mobile assembling plant, flour mill, Syringe factory, Plywood and co- conut refinery, among others.
“The vigour and energy with which Governor Udom Emmanuel directed toward catapulting Akwa Ibom into an industrialized cosmo- politan, earned him the nick-name – “Mr. Industrialisation”, Emem- obong emphasized.
Ememobong said, the industrial- ization-drive of Governor Emmanuel is geared at constructing industries that will open up empow- erment opportunities to the people of the State and afford them the av- enue to showcase their inherent Greatness as enunciated in the Dakkada philosophy of the Gover-
