Gov Udom Emmanuel has called for the collective prayers of Christians to tackle challenges of affairs of states in the coun- try.
Emmanuel made the call dur- ing the opening session of a five-day global crusade organised by the Deeper Life Bible Church, tagged: “The WondersoftheCross”atIbom Hall grounds, Uyo, weekend.

The governor said that reflections on the negative happenings across states demand a reversal to the positives through teachings about the wonders of Christianity, advisingtheChristiancommunity to remain unwavering in prayers for the revival of fami-
lies from acts of evil doings in the states.
He hoped that there would be divine answers to the mirage of disputed issues facing peopleandthesubsequent entrenchment of peace, pointing out that the level of peace
experienced in Akwa Ibom has been the product of committed prayers by individuals and institutions in the state.

The governor emphasised that the message of the Crucifixion of Jesus symbolises the redemption power of resurrection to heal and restore generations of people on the path of peace, urging Christians to be expectant of God’s blessings by exercising faith in the message of healing, both physically and spiritually.

The general superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, admonished Christians to believe in the power of God as demonstrated by the wonders of the Cross, adding that whosoever believes in Godwouldbesaved.

Kumuyi, who took his ser- mon from John 3:14 stressed that redeemed Christians were people not meant to perish through faith and confidence in Christ, adding that the power of God would be manifested in per- sons with strong belief in God.

The event featured mini- strations of songs, prayers and testimonies from a large congregants of Christians.
