Gov Udom Emmanuel has broken the silence to undertake an open declaration for the Presidential job soon.

Consequently, Emmanuel has received additional royal anointment to partake in the presidential political nomination exercise coming up soon in the country.

Moreso, the Akwa Ibom traditional rulers council has joined the long list of royal fathers to accept the aspirations of Emmanuel for the 2023 presidential race.

Emmanuel received the backing of the royal fathers during a consultation visit on him which took place at Government House, Uyo, Monday.

The governor said that the consultation visit was arranged to intimate the royal fathers on the presidential ambitions, adding that the consultation with the royal fathers was a major process of a formal declaration for campaigns in the presidential race.

He maintained that the meeting with the royal fathers on the presidential ambition was a mark of respect and readiness to offer political service at the national level, stressing that the requisite capacity and experience have been attained to rescue the nation.

The president general, the Akwa Ibom Traditional Rulers Council, Ntenyin Solomon Etuk, said that the royal fathers were proud of the boldness by Emmanuel to make national political aspirations, hoping that the intellectual capacity would be added to help in the repositioning of the country.

Etuk mentioned that the total fathers would continue to be at disposal to sustain blessings and support for the success of Emmanuel’s political ambitions, adding that Akwa Ibom traditional institutions would also be in regular prayers for Emmanuel to gain victory in all aspirations.

The event had in attendance the state deputy governor, Mr Moses Ekpo; the secretary to the state government, Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem; the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mr Frank Archibong; a former commissioner, Pastor Umo Eno; a cross section of paramount rulers and other royal fathers in the state.
