The recent declaration by Edo State former governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole to vie for Edo north senatorial seat may alter the zoning arrangements as regard which of the three LGAs in Etsako will produce the House of Representatives member.
The Etsako Federal Constituency seat is presently occupied by Mr Johnson Oghuma from Etsako Central who is presently on a second term mandate.
Before the entry of Comrade Adams oshiomole into the senatorial race, the permutations is that, the House of reps ticket will shift to Etsako West Local Government.
But with the Oshiomole’s interest, the House of Reps aspirants from Etsako West will have to bury their ambition on the basis that the local government cannot have the House of Reps and the Senate seat in the spirit of rotation.
The race for the House of Reps ticket from the APC will be open for the Etsako Central and Etsako East to slug it out.
Again, the Etsako Central recently produced a national officer of the party, Blessing Agbomere, who got elected as zonal organizing secretary of the APC.
The Agbomere’s position may also closed the door to House of Reps aspirants from Etsako Central Local Government haven’t gotten a party position.
Hence Etsako East LGA may have the upper hand and stage to produce the House of Reps ticket for the APC.
