ITU

The chairman of Itu Local Government, Mr Etetim Onuk, has called on the people of Itu to support the second term ambition of the member representing Itu State Constituency, MrKufreabasi Edidem.

The chairman made the call at the local government secretariat last week during his first phase empowerment for youths of the area.

Onuk while lauding the superlative performances of MrKufreabasi Edidem, noted that he has been one of the effective lawmakers in the State House of Assembly.

The Itu Local Government chairman who said the lawmaker has impacted positively on the people of Itu during his tenure, explained that having a two term member in the State House of Assembly was for consolidation as principal officers often emerge from ranking members.

He emphasized that with Itu people having a two-term member,the state constituency will stand a better chance and be of advantage in decisions and policy making.

Mr Onuk while acknowledging the goodwill of the state lawmaker on the people and the area, added that he has been a source of blessings to the people through life-touching projects such as human capital development, financial assistance for small scale businesses, scholarship for students and skills acquisition training.

The council helmsman while advising his people that such featsneeded to be sustained and improved upon, said that the only way to achieve that was the reelection of Mr Kufreabasi Edidemfor a second term in office.
