Christians have been encouraged to seek the Lord in a faithful, transparent, sincere and holy manner to attract heavenly reward.

The senior pastor of Qua Iboe Church, 2 Olusegun Obasanjo Way, Uyo, Rev Donald Ekpo, gave the advice in his first Sunday sermon for March 2022, on the theme: “Seek the Lord Continually,” taken from I Chronicle 16:10 -12.

Ekpo said God expects Christians to march forward in the new month with a renewed commitment and determination to seek him continually inspite of the difficulty they may encounter.

The cleric posited that situations in the world call for global reawakening for people to be persistent in seeking the lord, stressing that for people to harness the blessings of the Lord, they must seek the Lord in spirit and in truth.

Ekpo urged Christians to rid themselves of hypocrisy, deceit and acts that could truncate them from receiving blessings from God.

He explained that David and Jacob sought the Lord with steadfastness and God stood by them to achieve results in their service to God.

The cleric charged adherents to gather strength and courage in the Lord through effective participation in church activities, assuring that every good deed will be rewarded by God.

Ekpo enjoined Christians not to allow any situation that seems impossible to distract them, adding that God is in the business of providing bountiful blessings and solutions to myriad of challenges.

At the service, worshippers appreciated God for sustaining their lives to witness the month of March and prayed for peace, unity and oneness of the church, state and nations of the world.
