APC Edo South Launches Election Campaign

As the 2023 general elections draw near, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State South senatorial zone has officially launched the campaign to deliver all its candidates.

The event which held recently amidst Party faithful and supporters at the football pitch of the University of Benin, Ekekhuan campus showcased the Party’s popularity amongst the people, while mobilizing massive grassroots support to beat all contenders.

Leaders of the Party in the Zone led the rally to begin its efforts to make unhindered in – roads to the grassroots which it believes; holds the ace in the coming elections.

If we are able to deliver in 2023, that will make the work to reclaim Edo in 2024 much easier for us, the Party’s State Publicity Secretary, Peter Enoserogbe Uwadiae Igbinigie Esqsaid while addressing the gathering.

All the Party’s candidates in the 2023 elections in the zone stormed the event’s arena, with array of crowd of supporters; singing and dancing hysterically to the various drum beats as banners carrying messages appealing for support; struggled for space.

In the course of proceedings, the arena was thrown into heightened ecstasy the moment Deputy Director – general, Presidential Campaign Committee and former national Chairman of the Party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole arrived.

While addressing the crowd, Oshiomole said Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi is not what he claims; as he has nothing on ground to prove he possesses the capacity and capability to effectively preside over Nigeria.

Adding, that he would only create more unemployment like he did as Governor in Anambra State dwelling on what he termed: ‘wired economy.’

On the People Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate, AtikuAbubakar, the Edo North senatorial hopeful described him as an expired product who has nothing to bring to the Nigeria project hence he is not an option in the 2023 election.

Oshiomole urged Nigerians to get it right by voting Tinubu who he asserts possesses all it takes to positively rework the Nigeria project, based on his verifiable achievements in the past.

Other leaders who attended the event were two former deputy governors, Dr. Pius Odubu and Lucky Imasuen, State Chairman of the Party, Col. David Imuse retd, APC governorship candidate in the 2020 election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu; former minority whip of the House of Representatives, Samson Osagie; former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Uyi Igbe; two former members of the House of Representatives, Patrick Obahiagbon and Hon. Bello Osagie.

Also Sam Oboh, Melo Edokpolor, State secretary of the Party, Lawrence Okah, and State Youths Leader; Tony Kabaka were in attendance.

As former House of Assembly and APC member, Edo North, Aslem Agabi also attended the event in solidarity with the Party members in the Zone.

The APC is vying for the 10 House of Assembly seats, four House of Representatives slots, and one Senatorial seat in the zone as there is no governorship election in the State.
