A young multi-talented son of Akwa Ibom who specializes in equipment repair and general construction has sent a passionate appeal to the state government to empower him to set up his company which he said will contribute to boosting human capital development.
Mr Silas Udeme Peter who hails from Ediene Ikot Obio Imo, Uyo Local Government Area made the appeal Tuesday, when he visited the Pioneer House and narrated his story of how God endowed him with engineering skills.
Aged, 28, Peter who only stopped his education at National Diploma level in Apex Polytechnic, said he owns a company by name Hisence Mega Engineering Ltd that is duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
Peter disclosed that he got the name through divine revelation, adding that God gave him the vision to establish the company so that he could use it to train the youth to acquire skills that will make them self-reliant.
He said the company which specializes in civil construction engineering, building engineering, electrical/mechanical engineering, air conditioner restoration and repair and supply of building materials, when established will go a long way to compliment the industrialisation policy of the state government.
To achieve his dream of establishing this company, Peter, who said he is currently partnering with someone, added that he needs up to N50 million to bring his vision to fruition.
Peter posited that he learned the skill since 2011, stressing that God has blessed him with the skill, saying it was the more reason which made him to have an edge above his contemporaries.
He stressed that his company has executed high profile jobs that has gained it recognition.
According to him, his prowess in the field was noticed by some Europeans who contacted him and had wanted to take him away to Asia for the purpose of perfecting his skills.
While complaining of lack of funding to establish the company and secure a workshop, Peter said he has a vision to have a conglomerate of companies, adding that he will not give up until he achieve his dreams that God showed him.
Peter said he owed all the exploits he has made in the field of engineering to God, who he said has blessed him with engineering skills to specialize in equipment repair and civil engineering.
He, however, solicited support from government and other spirited individuals to enable him establish his company.
