A’IBOM PDP, CLOSER TO ANOTHER SEASON OF VICTORY – State Party Chairman Declares

… As National & State Assembly Candidates Receive Certificates of Return

As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom has said that the party in the state is well positioned to record yet another season of electoral conquest at all categories of elections that the Party will be fielding candidates for.

State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan Akpan who made the declaration while addressing national and state assembly candidates and stakeholders of the party, Monday June 20, at the event of issuance of certificates of return, maintained that with the strategic actions that the PDP in Akwa Ibom has drawn out, the party is firmly rooted on a path to victory, describing the event as a validation of the smooth conduct of the party primaries.

According to the Akwa State PDP boss, “this presentation ceremony is first and foremost, victory for our party for successfully conducting a peaceful, free and smooth party primaries to elect our party’s standard bearers.”

“I want to emphasize that this event is the beginning of the journey to electoral victory in the 2023 polls.”

“We are another step closer victory. We have won before and we will win again by the grace of God and by the support of the people.”

On his part, the PDP gubernatorial candidate for Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, who congratulated the candidates on their emergence, noted that the receipt of certificates of return marks a new stage in progress on the road to electoral victory which he expressed strong optimism about.

“We are just boarding a flight now, we will certainly land safely and victoriously. Our destination is 2023 and I assure you that our captain is God and for that reason, we will not crash-land.”

“I encourage all Akwa Ibomites to join this flight that the engine is steaming and is about to take off. Ours is a victory flight that will guarantee the maintenance of the peace we are enjoying, opportunities for our teeming youth and general development for all”, he said.

Shortly after the issuance of the certificates of return, the national and state assembly candidates of the party who spoke through the senate candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, thanked the party for a transparent process that saw to their emergence, expressing confidence in attaining total victory at the polls through the people’s support.

“The certificates that we have received today have given us power to march confidently to victory in 2023. We assure our party the PDP that all candidates will return elected come 2023. We will continue to consult and engage with our people for the purpose of moving in one direction and in the end, victory is sure”, Enoidem said.

At the event, certificates of return were issued to senatorial candidates, all 10 House of Representatives candidates and all 26 House of Assembly candidates.
