A’Ibom First Lady Celebrates Birthday, Launches Pet Project

The wife of the Akwa Ibom governor, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, has launched her pet-project, tagged: Golden Initiative For All(GIFA).
The project, aimed at touching lives of Akwa Ibom people, has eight thematic areas, namely: maternal and child health; improved environmental health; care for people living with disabilities;gender-based violence elimination; women empowerment; fight against diseases;enhancing literacy as well as care for the elderly.
At the formal launch of the pet-project, Tuesday, at Ibom Hall, Uyo, which coincided with her 57th birthday celebration, the Akwa Ibom first lady said as her brainchild, GIFA encompasses fathers, mothers, children and the entire families in Akwa Ibom, to support the ARISE Agenda of Gov Umo Eno-led administration.
Presenting the project, the first lady said GIFA, which is her brainchild, was born out of sheer compassionate yearnings and is poised to address specific needs of families.
The wife of the immediate past governor and progenitor of FEYReP, Dr. Martha Udom Emmanuel, lauded Eno for her dream of touching the lives of Akwa Ibom people through her pet-project, GIFA.
Emmanuel noted that Eno’s dream will not be realised without the support of those who work with her, expressing optimism that God will give her the grace to realise her dreams.
She reminded Eno that since her husband will not be able to touch the lives of all the people,she will useGIFAto complement his efforts in that direction.
Emmanuel appealed to the state governor and spouse of the celebrator, Pastor Umo Eno, to support his wife, Patience, whenever she comes to him for support considering how demanding the project will be.
In their separate goodwill messages, the first lady of Lagos State, Mrs. IbijokeSanwo-Olu and that ofOgun State, Mrs. BamideleAbiodun; as well as the chief executive officer of Hensek Integrated Services, Mr. Uwem Okoko, an engineer;chairman, Board of Ibom Air, Pastor Imo-Abasi Jacob;director general of government, Ambassador Assam Assam, SAN, among others, congratulated the first lady on her 57th birthday celebration and formal launch of her pet-project.
Highpoint of the event was the cutting of the birthday cake and support for the pet-project.
