Commissioner for agriculture, Dr. Offiong Offor, has attributed the rapid infrastructural development in Akwa Ibom to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Government.
Offor made the assertion at Odoro Ikpe, Ini Local Government Area where she held a special parley with the Chapter and the 11ward Executives of the Party.
She commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for appointing her, being the indigene of Ini Local Government Area as member of the State Executive Council and lauded him for performing creditably in all sectors of the State’ economy.
The commissioner appreciated the chapter party chairman, Mr Emmanuel Umah, for his outstanding performance through peaceful co- existence of the PDP members in Ini Local Government Area.
Her words: “Being the captain of this ship in the Local Government Area, you’ve made the ship to sail smoothly, even in stormy waters. PDP is the leading and winning party in Akwa Ibom State,” she stated.
The Don called on men, women and youths of the area to sensitize the populace on the need to come under the umbrella of the party, as it will shield them from danger, hunger, hardship, among other social problems.
Said she: “The strength of a building is dependent on the foundation. You are the foundation and foot soldiers of the party. The glorious future is the PDP. It is a saleable party, based on her track record of performance in the State and at the national levels at large.”
The Agric Boss promised to give the Ini Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party Office a facelift to befit the place of the party in the State.
In his remark, the PDP chapter chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Umah, appreciated Governor Emmanuel for his patriotism in ensuring that the needs of the party are met, through prompt payment of allowances to the party officers and other support.
Umah who commended the commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Offor for hosting the party structure, reasoned that, it takes only people with a large heart and interest to gather everyone in an event of such magnitude.
While assuring the commissioner of the party’s readiness to ensure victory of all the party’s candidates in the forthcoming polls, he solicited for the renovation of the party office in the area.
In their separate goodwill messages, the chairman of all ward chairmen, Akparawa Monday Inyang, the women leader, Mrs. Grace Akpan, Youth Leader, Paul Iseh and others expressed gratitude to the commissioner for the parley.
They affirmed that the Peoples Democratic Party is a culture in the state and is blessed with a solid foundation over the years; assuring that the PDP will surely win across the state in the 2023 general elections.
