The political aspiration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag-bearer for Uyo Federal Constituency, Elder Mark Esset,received a massive boost as a renowned grassroots mobilisationgroup codenamed 5 Over 5 Initiative adopted all the candidates of PDP for the forthcoming 2023 elections.
The epoch making event which was hosted at the IbesikpoAsutan Local Government Council Hall, Nung Udoe had in attendance the PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Umo Eno; representative of PDP candidate for Uyo Senatorial District, Elder Aniekan Bassey; PDP Candidate for Uyo Federal Constituency, Elder Mark Esset and the PDP Candidate for Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency, Pastor Ubong Attah.
Setting the tone for the event, the international president of 5 Over 5 Initiative, Etubom David Jackson while welcoming the PDP candidates and the guests thanked them for honouring the invitation of the group.
He disclosed that the main objective of the initiative is to galvanize massive support for all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the entire state.
Jackson unveiled the group, noting that, they have traversed all the nooks and crannies of the State with the message of enlightenment for all the voters on the need to jettison selective voting, rather, to vote all the candidates of PDP in the forthcoming elections.
In his response, the PDP flag-bearer for Uyo Federal Constituency, Elder Mark Esset thanked the entire people of Ibesikpo Asutan for their enormous support so far.
“I stand here to reaffirm that with the confidence you repose on me I will not disappoint you. The voice of Uyo, Uruan, IbesikpoAsutan and Nsit Atai will be heard very loud in the National Assembly through me”.
Esset urged all the electorates to embrace the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and support all the candidates of the Party across the entire State.
