There is a groundswell of support for Pastor Umo Eno, as more individuals and groups are pledging their support for him as the next governor of Akwa Ibom after Mr Udom Emmanuel.
The latest is the founder and senior pastor of the Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko, who has thrown his full weight behind the recent Emmanuel’s endorsement of Eno as his successor in office come 2023.
Okoriko in a release personally signed by him at the weekend described Eno as a man of vision and wisdom whose impeccable attributes speak volumes and has singled him out as the governor’s undisputable successor.
According to Okoriko, who represents his family and the church in the release which was made available to newsmen, including The Pioneer, Eno was “an enigma whose cynosure has marked him out as a square peg in a square hole.”

He explained that Eno has proved himself as a successful entrepreneur and an astute manager of both human and financial resources, even as a private sector person.”
He opined that if at the private sector level Eno was able to carve a niche for himself, he has no doubt that Emmanuel made no mistake in endorsing him as his able successor in 2023, knowing too well that he (Eno) would strive hard to surpass his records in leadership when he is elected governor in 2023.
Okoriko, one of the founding fathers of the famous Fathers of Faith fame, where Eno is also a member, expressed delight over the governor’s choice of Eno as his successor, adding that his record prowess in the private sector was an overwhelming testimony that Emmanuel made no mistake in his epoch-making choice on January 31, 2021.
“Pastor Eno’s endorsement by Gov. Emmanuel has gone a long way to prove to his cynics right that” Many Were Called But Few Are Chosen. As the only aspirant who the governor single-handedly graduated to the status of a candidate, there is no doubt that you have earned your principal’s trust and confidence overtime as one whose cap fits,” Okoriko stressed.
The cleric urged other contestants in the governorship race to employ wisdom and tacts in the pursuit of their aspiration, imploring them to eschew violence in any or form to guise in the interest of Akwa Ibom collective future.
Recall that Eno, who is also the current commissioner for lands and water resources, is an In-law of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area in general and Okoriko in particular, having chosen a wife from there.
