Gov Udom Emmanuel has acknowledged the firm taps roots and strength of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to secure victory in all elections in Akwa Ibom.
Consequently, Emmanuel has renewed the clarion calls for undivided unity of PDP members at all units of the party in the state.
The governor made the clarifications during the caucus meeting of the Akwa Ibom chapter of the PDP, which took place at Government House, Uyo, recently.
He stated that the caucus meeting was arranged to fulfill the long-established practice of constant rubbing of minds on important issues of state and national interests that affect the party, stressing that the state chapter of PDP caucus has the defining role to deepen the strength and taproots of victories at electoral contests in the state.
Emmanuel reiterated that the recipe of victories lie onunbroken resolve to remain united in action and consistency to uphold the trust of people in Akwa Ibom people, assuring that the PDP holds the keys of brighter days and fulfillment of promises in Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.
The deputy governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, said that the choice ofthe PDP gubernatorial candidate and his running mate, has received the acceptance of the caucus members, lauding all party members for an excellent decision with strong hopes ofvictory at the 2023 elections.
The state chairman of the PDP, Elder Aniekan Akpan, appreciated Emmanuel and the entire caucus members for the cooperation to the party in the successful implementation of decisions and aspirations.
Akpan stated that the state working committee of the party would continue to rely on the support of members, elders and stakeholders, maintaining that greater landmarks have been recorded by the party in the last one year.
Highlight of the caucus meeting was the presentation of the governorship candidate of the PDP, Pastor Umo Eno and the running mate, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, who jointly appreciated their choice for the top job race in 2023 elections, while calling all primaries contestants to accept the results from the majority decisions of the party and join hands to lead the state.
