IBIONO IBOM
A call has been made for ceaseless prayers by the Church for Gov Udom Emmanuel and for a peaceful 2023 polls in Akwa Ibom and Nigeria at large.
The call was made by the commissioner for information and strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, Friday, at Use Ndon, Ibiono Ibom, while receiving an Excellence Award by the National leadership of Church of Christ, CoC.
Ememobong, who expressed appreciation for the Award, called on the church to pray endlessly for the state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, the people of Ibiono Ibom, as well as for a peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections in Akwa Ibom in particular and Nigeria in general.
He said as partners in the development of the state and country, the church has a duty to continue to pray for leaders in all strata, stressing that with a sustained message of peace from the pulpits, incidences of election violence would drastically reduce in the society.
Earlier, the national president of the Conference of National Association of Church of Christ Gospel Ministers’Association, Evangelist Sunday Ekpo, had said the Excellence Award was conferred on Comrade Ini Ememobong, in recognition of his humanitarian service and ecclesiastical exploits in the vineyard of God.
Ekpo stated that the Church was proud of Ememobong’s ecclesiastical exploits, his love for God and people, as well as his manifest support for humanitarian service and described him as humble, selfless, and highly dedicated to the core mandate of the Church of Christ, which is evangelism.
The ceremony, which took place at the Church of Christ, Use Ndon, attracted gospel ministers from all the geo-political zones of the country and featured word impartation, song ministrations and prayers.
