Uyo Reps 2023: Mark Esset Inaugurates Unity Project Campaign Organization

To further bolster his ambition to give an effective representation in the Green Chamber, Elder Mark Esset has inaugurated the Unity Project 2023 Campaign Organizationwith the pledge to foster a more united Atai Uyo – Uyo, Uruan, Ibesikpo Asutan and Nsit Atai.

Setting the tone for the inauguration, commissioner for housing/chairman of the Elders Council of Unity Project 2023 Campaign Organization, Otuekong Raphael Bassey, reaffirmed the fact that the Peoples Democratic Party is a religion in UyoFederal Constituency, hence they would replicate a massive victory across all the political offices aspired for in the forthcoming elections.

Otuekong Bassey assured that the calibre of candidates the Peoples Democratic Party are fielding in all the positions are tested and trusted and he proposed a motion that the House ofRepresentatives hopeful has the onerous task of unifying all the four candidates of the Uyo, Uruan, Ibesikpo Asutan and NsitAtai State constituencies.

In his remark, the PDP candidate for Uyo Federal Constituency, Mr Mark Esset, expressed an overwhelming joy for the calibreof dignitaries that graced the campaign organization inauguration.

Esset vowed he is going to represent Uyo, Uruan, IbesikpoAsutan and Nsit Atai in the Green Chamber, assuring that he would sustain the unity project to achieve the desired aim.

The House of Reps hopeful assured, “I am not going to be a sleeping lawmaker in the Green Chamber, rather, I will be a voice. My voice will be heard very loud. It is not about the body size, but the capacity.

“By the grace of God I emerged the winner in the party primaries. That does not mean that it is the winner takes it all. I will be operating an open door and window policy in my representation”.

He promised that all the political officeholders will work in unison to ensure that more dividends of democracy are felt in Uyo Federal Constituency.

While making his acceptance speech, chairman of unity project campaign organization, Mr Monday Eyo, assured that all the PDP candidates will be returned 100 per cent. He wholeheartedly accepted the appointment to chair the campaign organization with the assurances that he would oversee to the success of the House of Reps hopeful and all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections.

In his goodwill message, deputy state chairman of PDP, MrLawrence Udosen, observed that this is a season of good tidings for Atai Uyo for having Mark Esset to represent them at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly from 2023. 

He advised all to be conscious that the only party in AkwaIbom State is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and they should collectively return all the candidates of the party from the president to the state constituencies.

Also making his goodwill message, member for IbesikpoAsutan State Constituency, Elder Aniekan Uko, said that the unity project portrays the united front that was orchestrated by the House of Assembly members representing the four state constituencies of Atai Uyo in the 6th Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

He noted that as an aspirant in the primaries that saw to the emergence of Mark Esset as the winner, he had since embraced the winner and eschewed politics of bitterness.

Uko assured that the entire Ibesikpo Asutan LGA will vote massively for Mark Esset with the conviction that he has the capacity to deliver an effective representation for the entire AtaiUyo in the Green Chamber.

In their separate goodwill messages, commissioner for power, Dr. John James Etim on behalf of the commissioners; MrIniobong Ekpenyong on behalf of the chairmen; Dr Itoro Etimon behalf of the House of Assembly candidates; Mrs. InemesitUwah on behalf of the women, all spoke in glowing terms of the candidacy of Mr Mark Esset.
