… Celebrates June-born Staff On Birthday
UYO
The commissioner for culture and tourism has urged staff of his Ministry to raise the bar in the delivery of ARISE Agenda as it pertains to the mandate of the Ministry, even as he splashed June-born staff with cash gifts on their birthday celebration.
Dr. Anieti Udofia gave the charge, recently, during the June edition of the Ministry’s monthly staff birthday celebration held at the Ministry’s headquarters at Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo.
Udofia, who commended staff of the Ministry for always living above boards in their service delivery, charged them to continue to contribute positively towards raising the bar in service delivery on its mandate as envisioned in the ARISE Agenda.
He applauded the Ministry’s management’s leadership prowess which, he said, has been a source of pride to him as online campaigns on “Our Dances” as well as “Tourism beyond Bounds with Umo Eno”, are gaining widespread interest and applause.
Represented by the permanent secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Grace Akpan, who also took out time for extemporaneous praises to God for the successful hosting of the just-concluded 2025 Public Service Week, the culture and tourism boss expressed appreciation to staff who participated in the week-long activities for the show of love, bond, support, cooperation and contributions towards running a smooth and successful event and prayed for God’s blessing upon the staff members and celebrators even as he wished them a happy birthday and many happy returns.
In a vote of thanks, a senior tourism officer, OfonIni Udoekpo, who responded on behalf of the June-born celebrators, expressed appreciation to God almighty for keeping them alive.
She thanked management and staff members of the Ministry for their continuity in celebrating staff birthdays in grand style and prayed for abundant blessings upon them.
The event, which featured dancing and praises by the staff, witnessed the cutting of birthday cake and presentation of cash gifts to the celebrators by the permanent secretary, Mrs. Grace Akpan.
