IKONO

Arrangements have been concluded for the formal inauguration of a pan-Ikono socio-political organization for professionals from Ikono extraction, the Ikono Progressive Minds (IPM).

The big gathering is scheduled for Saturday October 8, 2022 at the Ikono Local Government Council Hall, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo, by 1.00pm.

This information is contained in a release jointly endorsed by the chancellor of the organization, Dr Nelson Okorie; secretary, MrChristopher Udo and the chairman, Planning Committee,  Mr  Idongesit Jimmy, and made available to the media.

The release described the event as  the first of its kind in the history of Ikono also known as the Ntippe Ibibio, as it will attract crème de la crème of Ikono indigenes whose simple interest is to genuinely  advance  the development and prosperity of the local government area and its people.

The release invites sons and daughters of Ikono Local Government Area, political, cultural and religious groups and members of the public to the ceremony.
