Ravine Reclamation, Recreation Project: Murray-Bruce Lauds Gov Eno’s Vision

As work progresses by the day at the ravine reclamation and recreation site, one of Nigeria’s entertainment and tourism industry experts has lauded the vision of the Akwa Ibom governor, Pastor Umo Eno, in turning the long existing ravine in Uyo, into a multi-facetted tourists’ site.
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, who made the commendation, when he, alongside other personalities who were in the state, took a tour of the construction site shortly after his meeting with the governor at Government House, Uyo, was amazed at Eno’s vision which he termed “incredible”, noting that the project will possess some of the greatest facilities tourists would desire anywhere in the world.
The former Bayelsa – East Senator and founder of Silverbird Group, observed that the availability of houses within the project, a 9-hole golf course, which the park will offer, coupled with the already existing nearby 18-hole golf course at the Ibom Icon Hotel, Akwa Ibom will soon be home for the top one per cent of the world’s most wealthy population.
  “It has a nine-hole golf course. It’s got a lake. It’s got all the greatest facilities you can find. It’s an incredible site. Golfers are the richest people on earth. It’s a game for very wealthy people. Selling houses here to very wealthy golfers will bring the top one percent of the world’s population to Akwa Ibom.
  “When they stay here, they can play golf here and at the other 18-hole golf course. The quality of work is first class. You look at the contour. The governor took a bad situation and is turning it into a great one. It’s beautiful. I think it’s one of the incredible projects you can have”, Murray-Bruce said.
In his description of the project, the State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, said the concept is a world-class facility that would create thousands of jobs for Akwa Ibom people through entertainment and tourism, saying he was willing to welcome inputs from tourism practitioners to convert the vision to reality.
Eno was impressed at the pace and quality of work done at the site, saying his regular visits to the site was satisfying and inspiring, while justifying the need to pull the top echelon of the entertainment industry close to aid the actualisation of the vision.
  “This is improving every day. That’s why we bring experts here, to add to the vision we have. Vision is progressive. When you have a vision, you need people that can key into that vision. That’s why we brought Distinguished Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, who is a guru in entertainment here. We brought our brother Tony and AIM Consulting, as designers so that they can also bring their own perspectives.
This is a world-class facility and every day I come here, I get very inspired that we can take a bad situation and turn it into the very best and commercialise it. I belief that’s the way to go. I belief this place will create thousands of jobs for our people. This place will create entertainment. This place will create tourism.”
