The reconciliation committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state  has reiterated its will  to adopt a painstaking and broad-based approach to address the concerns of party members who may have had any issues with the conduct of the just-concluded nominations of the party.

Giving the assurance while addressing journalists shortly after the inaugural meeting of the Committee, the chairman of the Akwa Ibom PDP Reconciliation Committee, Senator EffiongBob, said the committee will be approaching the assignment with the perfect knowledge and understanding of the fact that the PDP is a party that places a high value on all its members, stressing that the committee will not fail the party and its members.

Senator Bob said, “As a committee, we understand the cogency of the assignment we have been given and we are urging all members of our party who have differing views about the just concluded nominations or any other issue to come and sit with us so we can see how to resolve the issues together.”

The committee chairman, who noted that dialogue has always been a potent tool in managing differences, expressed the optimism that at the end of the committee’s assignment, the recommendations of the committee will assist the party in deepening its footprint of successes in the Akwa Ibom political landscape.
