Onuk stated this in Uyo, the state capital while fielding questions from journalists on political issues in the state.

He said the decision taken by Luke to support the Akwa lbomPDP gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno was the best decision for the interest of the party, the state and its citizenry.Stressing that for the former speaker of Akwa lbom State House of Assembly to collapse his structures and upturn his supporters to Umo Eno was a prove of love and loyalty for the party.

The Itu Local Government boss while thanking Luke on his display of maturity said, Pastor Umo Eno’s ambition willcontinue to gather more and more support from individuals and groups.

Onuk who assured Akwa lbom people on total victory for the Peoples Democratic Party, charged teachers especially, those residing in Itu on fully participation in the ongoing votersregistration exercise.

The Itu Council boss who also charged  journalists to properly educate members of the public on the need to take advantage of voters registration exercise, especially,  those in the inter-land  who are of ages to vote, remarked that voting was part of civic responsibility of all adults citizens in the country,.

He urged all principals and parents in Itu and other parts of the state to educate their subjects on the need to participate in voters registration exercise.

Onuk while emphasizing that students above ages of eighteen should participate fully in voters registration, called on all the staff of Itu Local Government Council to take advantage in ongoing voters registration exercise.

He posited that there was no way people will be able to choose a leader or leaders of their choice without securing voters card which guarantees right of choice.

He reminded the people that voters registration exercise was initial step to participate in elections to elect leaders of choice, adding that without obtaining voters card and also vote during elections, that right of choice would be defeated.
