The coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, led Akwa Ibom women to a session of thanksgiving and praises at the January edition of the Akwa Ibom Women Monthly Prayer Meeting, with the theme: “Aligned for Result,” held at the Government House Banquet Hall, Uyo.
Lady Helen Eno Obareki, who expressed gratitude to God for the gift of a New Year, used the occasion to sensitise women on their civic responsibilities, and the need to exercise their right to vote, encouraging eligible citizens to register, obtain their voter’s card and prepare to cast their votes.
She urged women leaders and stakeholders to sustain the mandate and vision of the State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, in the build-up to 2027, while appreciating Akwa Ibom women for their steadfast support for the ARISE Agenda and the Golden Initiative for All, GIFA.
Commenting on the theme of the service, “Aligned for Result,” Lady Obareki encouraged the worshippers to align their lives with God, noting that divine alignment guarantees direction and success, while charging the women to continually pray for Akwa Ibom State, asking God to order the steps of their leaders and grant them success in all endeavours.
In her homily on the topic, “Divine Alignment – the Gateway to Supernatural Results”, Bishop Utibeno John-Udoh, reminded Christians that as they journey through the year 2026, they should submit their plans to God’s will, assuring that alignment with God guarantees results, testimonies, and rest on every side.
Bishop Udoh highlighted that to align and enjoy supernatural results, Christians must hunger for God, love righteousness and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
The January edition of the Akwa Ibom State Women Monthly Prayer featured high praise, choir renditions, intercessory prayers and thanksgiving by January birthday celebrators who donated sewing machines in support of the empowerment programmes of the Golden Initiative for All, GIFA, which turns two on Friday, February 20, 2026.
