The member representing Abak/Etim-Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, Mr. Inemesit Jimbo, has blessed his NtoEssien Kinsmen in Abak local government Area with Christmas gifts and cash donation.
The gesture, Jimbo said, was in appreciation of their total support for him to succeed at the polls.
At the family get-together in Ikot Oku Ubara Village, Ediene Clan, Abak, the federal lawmaker presented his kinsmen with 10 bags of 25 kilogrammes rice and a cash donation of N500,000.00 in the spirit of Christmas, for their upkeep.
Jimbo, who appreciated God immensely for his benevolence, said the gesture was in reciprocation of their support and corporation during and after his election to the National Assembly.
The federal lawmaker,who was accompanied to the meeting by his father, Elder Clement Jimbo, thanked God for answering his prayers to represent Abak, Etim Ekpo, Ika Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja.
He solicited continued prayers from his kinsmen for God to guide and direct his footsteps aright in giving them effective representation at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.
Jimbo promised not to disappoint them in the performance of his legislative duties, calling for the unity of purpose and total cooperation among them for the best to be accomplished for posterity.
He called for fairness in the distribution of the Christmas gifts to enable members to benefit from his kind gesture, noting that judicious application of the gift items would encourage him to do more for them.
In his contribution, Comrade Rosebeth Richard Cletus, recalled with delight that the free JAMB registration forms Jimbo bought for students of Abak Federal Constituency made it possible for her to gain admission into the University of Uyo.
She recalled with delight that the many laudable economic empowerment programmes of Mr. Jimbo have enabled his federal constituents to become self-dependent.
Cletus posited that the scholarship scheme of Jimbo for students of Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency in tertiary institutions has helped the beneficiaries in no small measures to attain greatness in their educational pursuits.
She pledged their collective resolve to continue tosupportthe federal lawmaker to succeed in office.
Ekponoimo Jimbo and Akaninyene Etim, while reacting to the gesture, thanked the federal lawmaker for making them proud, assuring him of their unalloyed loyalty for him to succeed in office.
Present at the event were the father of the Federal lawmaker, Elder Clement Jimbo, Blessed mother Uduak Abel, Assistant chapter women leader,Mrs. Ime Ekerette,Mr. Ime Jimbo, Elder Nehemiah Udofia and Pastor Richard Cletus.
