Not less than 100 women in Ini Local Government Area in AKwa Ibom State have benefited from business/ support grant courtesy of the wife of the member representing Ini State Constituency, Deaconess Esther Udoide.
The said grant of N50,000,00 (Fifty Thousand naira) each is aimed at encouraging Ini women boost their businesses in order to be self – reliant and as well contribute meaningfully to the upkeep of their respective families.
Addressing the women at the event held at the Constituency Office of the member for Ini State constituency at Odoro Ikpe, Deaconess Esther Udoide, appreciated God immensely for keeping everyone alive to witness the event.
Deaconess Udoide appreciated the women for their massive support for her husband, Elder Lawrence Udoide, during and after the election, saying that her gesture was a way of appreciating them for their show of love and support towards the emergency of her husband.
She also appreciated them for supporting Gov. Umo Bassey Eno, PhD, the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, President Ahmed Tinubu and the the chairman, Ini Local Government Council, Mr Inibehe Umah, and sued for more support and cooperation for them to continue in office come 2027.
The lawmaker’s wife appreciated God. Umo Eno for the unity and peace enjoyed in the state, adding that her business grant which is intended to touch women in the 11 wards in the area have beneficiaries cut across all the women irrespective of patty affiliation as we are in Akwa Ibom United which represents for peace, love and development.
Deaconess Udoide who is a member of Legislature Wife Association (LEWA), appreciated her beloved husband and member for Ini State constituency, Elder Udoide, for being a husband indeed and a strong backbone towards the realisation of her dreams and prayed God to protect, bless and grant him good health and long life to continue to touch humanity.
She disclosed that the business grant will is in phases will get to all the women, advising those yet to benefit to wait patiently as they will all benefit in no distant time, urging on the women to revalidate their voter card and their children aged 18 years and above to register and get their cards as this is their power to vote come 2027.
She appreciated Ini Women for honoring her invitation, pledging that she will continue to touch their lives, calling on them to shun faction, gossips, infighting and remain united in love.
In their separate goodwill messages, Ikot Ekpene Senatorial woman leader leader, Obonganwan Elizabeth Ibanga, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter woman leader, Ini Local Government Area, Mrs Comfort Christopher, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs lImaobong Peter,, Dr. Eme Esiere, as well as the state PDP officer in the area, Obonganwan Alice Udoette, all appreciated Gov. Umo Eno for uniting Akwa Ibom citizens and his ARISE Agenda which is yielding positive outcomes.
They appreciated Deaconess Udoide and her husband for always remembering Ini people who voted him to power, pledging their support for them to succeed throughout their tenure.
They called on Ini citizens to register and get their voter cards to gurantee their voting eligibility come 2027.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs.Ekaette Ekanem, appreciated the benefactor and her husband, Elder Udoide for remembering the women,noting that they have lived up to their electioneering campaign promises to the women and pledged the that Ini women will continue to cooperate and support them to attain greater heights.
In a vote of thanks, the leader of female traditional rulers in Ini Local Government Area, Obonganwan Flora Obonanya, thanked Deaconess for the gesture, calling on them to give her husband, Elder Udoide, Gov. Eno and Senator Godswill Akpabio, their full support to succeed.
The event featured prayer session for Gov. Umo Eno ,the state and its leaders, Elder Udoide and family, stateholders, leaders in Ini Local Government Area and dancing competition.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of the business/ support grant to the women by Deaconess Udoide.
