Ikpa Ibekwe Ward 2 Councillor Donates Educational Materials To Pupils In 8 Schools

Beneficiaries of the educational empowerment instituted by the councillor representing Ikpa Ibekwe Ward 2 in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, have been urged to make proper utilisation of the educational material and excel in their academic pursuit. 
Mr Joshua Alexander Johnson gave the charge while presenting various educational materials to all the eight primary schools, which cut across the entire Ikpa Ibekwe Clan.
He said education, which remains the bedrock of development, needs to be encouraged in all ramifications.
The Ikpa Ibekwe Ward 2 councillor, who spoke of the importance of education in any developing nation, said he was motivated to embark on the educational empowerment as a result of his passion for education as well as his desire to support Gov Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda which has created an unprecedented impact across the state.
Johnson, who is also the house leader in the eighth legislative council of Ikot Abasi LGA, used the opportunity to appeal to teachers to show more commitment to the educational advancement of pupils as leaders of tomorrow.
Speaking in unison during the colourful presentation of the educational material, the ward 2 chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ikpa Ibekwe, Comrade Uwem Ikpoh; supervisor for education of Ikot Abasi LGA, Nsikan Umana; special adviser on political and chieftaincy affairs to the Council, Mr Emmanuel Eshiet, poured encomium on councillor Johnson whom they described as a vibrant administrator with diverse knowledge in the promotion of educational attainment of youth, peace and tranquility, which has impacted on the lives of many in the area.
They specifically commended him for creating educational synergy and called on others to emulate Johnson to enable them to leave legacies after their tenure.
Speaking separately on behalf of other benefiting schools in Ikpa Ibekwe clan, the head teacher of Salvation Army Primary School, Ikot Obong, Mr Etebom Udoh Thompson; Mrs Etiowo Odudu Ukpe of St Teresa Primary School; Mrs Nsikanabasi Ime Inyang of Government Primary School, Ikot Etetuk and that of St Georges Anglican Primary School, Mrs Imaobong Moses Udoh, on behalf of the school management and pupils expressed their sincere gratitude to Councillor Joshua Johnson for deeming it fit to surprise them with the unexpected educational material to their pupils, they collectively assured him of the pupils commitment to reciprocate the gesture and prayed God to guide, protect and bestow on him the wisdom to accomplish his mission in the council.
