The Akwa Ibom governor has sworn in Mr Uduak Isaac as a permanent secretary in the State’s civil service.
Pastor Umo Eno, while administering the oath of office and allegiance on Isaac, recently, at the State Executive Chambers, Government House, Uyo, attributed his elevation to hard work, diligence and passion for service delivery.
Eno said Isaac was an embodiment of what a true public servant should represent – passion, dedication, selflessness and abiding spirit of faith in service delivery, noting that Isaac has shown that he understands the key ethos and culture of the ARISE Agenda, having helped in crafting the strategic plan of the ARISE Human Capital Development, which the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, launched Monday, April 14, 2025.
The State governor recalled that without demanding money from government, the new permanent secretary travelled the length and breath of Nigeria, outside the country, and around all local government areas in the State, mustering the chairmen to be able to develop a strategic plan of action for the local governments to key into the Human Capital Development initiative.
Eno described Isaac as the new face of the civil service, urging others to aspire to excellence through hard work rather than recommendations, maintaining that the appointment was predicated on merit, while congratulating him on his elevation.
The governor, shortly after inauguration, presented him with a brand new SUV to enable him effectively deliver on his responsibilities.
Interacting with Government House correspondents, Isaac expressed gratitude to the governor for the appointment and pledged to contribute his quota to take Akwa Ibom to higher heights in human capital development.
