The Akwa Ibom governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has joined family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating an elder statesman, Chief Michael Afangideh, on the remarkable occasion of his 106th birthday.
In a goodwill message issued by his chief press secretary, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno thanked God for the precious gift of long life bestowed upon Afangideh, describing him as a living testament to God’s grace, wisdom, and faithfulness.
The governor commended Afangideh for his support for the ARISE Agenda and his consistent prayers for the peace, unity, and development of Akwa Ibom State, noting that the centenarian’s life of service continues to inspire younger generations to embrace the values of diligence, humility, and commitment to the common good.
“As our respected Iroko, your life remains a profound example of dedication to community, leadership, and faith. We thank God for blessing you with robust health and a sound mind at 106, and we deeply appreciate your continued support and counsel to the growth of our dear state.
“As you mark this extraordinary milestone, I pray that God grants you more strength, peace, and joy in the years ahead.”
“Happy 106th birthday, our dear Iroko!” the governor concluded.
